Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how we collect, use, disclose and store your personal information, how you can contact us if you want to access or correct your personal information and how you can contact us for further information on your privacy or to make a complaint.

Any changes to our privacy policy will be updated on this page at the time of change.

Collection of your personal information

It is our usual practice to collect personal information directly from the individual. Sometimes we collect information from a third party or a publicly available source, but only if the individual has consented to such collection or would reasonably expect us to collect their information in this way. For example we may collect the names and addresses of publicly listed schools in order to market our products to them as would reasonably be expected of us given the nature of our business.

We only collect personal information for purposes which are directly related to our business. Collection of your personal information happens when:

  • You become a customer — by placing your first order and any subsequent orders
  • You contact us — either via email, fax or phone
  • You subscribe to our mailing list
  • We collect personal information from a publicly available source
  • We collect and pay for personal information from a third party

The personal information we collect includes but is not limited to: organisation’s name, individual’s name, postal address, delivery address, telephone number, fax number, website and email address.

Use of your personal information

We only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was given to us, i.e. fulfilling your order, or contacting you in regard to your order, or for purposes which are directly related to the function and activities of our business, e.g. sending you marketing material related to our business that may be of interest to you such as catalogues, special offers, new product alerts, free samples and so forth by mail, fax and email.

We respect your right to opt out of our marketing correspondence, or restrict our use of your personal information at any time. If you wish to do either please contact us with your request.

Disclosure of your personal information

We will never disclose your personal information to a third party except in the following situations:

  • Writing your delivery details on your order parcels/cartons for shipping purposes
  • Where we send you catalogues and/or other mailings and we may outsource the job to a mailing fulfilment house
  • Where we send you emails, e-newsletters or faxes we may engage outsourced facilitators
  • Where we send you a prize for winning a competition — the prize may be sent by a trading partner or promoter (if the promoter is not us)
  • If you win a competition, your name or the organisation’s name needs to be published in a locally or nationally circulating publication and/or on our website. This is required by law in most states and territories where the prize is of a certain value.
  • Customer testimonials that may be featured on our website and/or in our marketing material
  • You have consented
  • It is required by law
  • We need to engage a third party to help us provide you with goods or services related to our business.

Whenever we engage a third party your personal information remains our property and they are not permitted to use it or disclose it for their own purposes. We will never disclose personal information to another organisation so that they can send you their own marketing material that is unrelated to our business.

Our website may contain links to other websites whose privacy policies may differ from ours. When you go to another website through our own (and engage with that website/organisation) we have no control over what they do with your personal information and as such you should always check their privacy policy.

Quality of your personal information

We take steps to ensure that the personal information we collect is accurate, up to date and complete. These steps include maintaining and updating personal information when we are advised by individuals that their personal information has changed and at other times as necessary.

Safety and security of your personal information

We take measures to ensure the safety of personal information held by us against unauthorised access, loss, use, modification or disclosure and against any other misuse.

All personal information is deleted or destroyed securely when it is no longer needed.

Additionally, our employees and contractors must respect the confidentiality of personal information maintained by us, however we will not be held liable for occurrences related to the unauthorised access to your personal information.

Access to and correction of your personal information

You are permitted to access any of your personal information, or request that we change any part of your personal information if you feel it is incorrect. To do so please contact us with the request.
